She completed her Master’s in Ophthalmology from Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) and went on to pursue a prestigious two-year fellowship in Anterior Segment and Cataract Surgery at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai.
Under the mentorship of Dr. Haripriya Aravind, one of the world’s foremost cataract surgeons, Dr. Prasad developed deep expertise in managing complex cataract cases, handling premium intraocular lenses (IOLs), and treating a wide range of anterior segment disorders.
In addition to her cataract and refractive surgery skills, she is also proficient in diagnosing and managing diabetic retinopathy and performing advanced laser treatments. Her surgical excellence and clinical insight have made her a trusted name in eye care.
Throughout her career, Dr. Mukta Prasad worked as a consultant at Aravind Eye Hospital for one year and has served as a Senior Consultant at Ramakrishna Mission Hospitals in Muzaffarpur and Patna, Patna Medical College, and Mahavir Arogya Sansthan..
